Muistovalkea.fi provides clear, reliable and up-to-date information about funeral matters in Finland. Our goal is to help people during difficult times by providing practical guidance and information without commercial interests.

Editorial policy

Our content is based on Finnish legislation (particularly the Funeral Act 457/2003, Code of Inheritance 40/1965), official sources (DVV, Tax Administration) and industry organisation guidelines. We do not recommend individual service providers.

Independence

Muistovalkea.fi is independent and does not receive payments from funeral homes, parishes or other industry operators. Content is not tailored to advertisers' wishes.

Update process

Articles are reviewed regularly to update legislative changes and practices. The publication date and last update of each article are shown on the page.
